Portuguese Sofia Escobar is Christine at The Phantom of the Opera in London

I love this musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber,

The Phantom of the Opera

And now (and once again), in London, the Portuguese Sofia Escobar is Christine ;-)

Last year, she won the Best Musical Actress Award in West Side Story (15 February 2009, Whatsonstage).

Here we can listen her a bit:

The following interview is in Portuguese, but we can feel her joy, honesty, generousity, love for Portugal and Guimaraes, the town where she (and our country) was born.

(She says that she misses also our gastronomy! I understand her quite well... Oh yes, I do... ;-))

Sofia is lovely, isn't she? ;-) Go forward, Sofia!

P.S.: Portuguese artists flood London’s West End.

I think is time to go to London, don't you think? ;-)

I saw some months ago a tv program that mentioned her, but I didn't know she achieved this much. We are truly proud!
