Expat Life: CentrO shopping mall

Last weekend, we went to the CentrO shopping mall in Oberhausen, Germany.

From Oberhausen - Centro

Usually, I don't like shopping malls, but this one has a very nice water-lined boulevard with restaurants and pubs.

Look at the Christmas Market stalls!! ;-) Time goes so fast!

From Oberhausen - Centro

We ate an appel strudel, of course... ;-) we were in Germany...;-)

After, we went to Sinn Leffers to buy some clothes for the winter.
My husband needed a jacket to protect him from the wind and the rain.
We bought a very good one for less than € 100. In fact, it's a kind of two jackets with a special tecnology: klimatex. It's waterproof (that's important when we live in the rainy Netherlands ;-) and it's prepared for the snow and the low temperatures. Let's see if this winter will snow as last year...

From Oberhausen - Centro

We heard about CentrO as being a shopping mall with a wider clothes and shoes selection and having more affordable prices than the Netherlands stores.
So, we went there to see it. Yes, it seems it's true! In fact, we saw many Dutch people there! ;-)
Oberhausen is near the frontier and that helps...

Have you already been there? Do you like it?

PS: Oberhausen is also the city where Paul, the octopus, used to live.
