Obrigada, Graça!!!

Há um tempinho a esta parte, tinha pedido à Graça, se me fazia uma bolsinha em crochet para as minhas réguas. Tenho poucas, mas gosto muito delas, e andavam por aqui aos caídos. Umas são em madeira, outras em plástico. Na passada sexta-feira, recebo a minha encomenda, mas cheia de miminhos! Eu já sabia que vinha uma segunda bolsa para as réguas a caminho ( a Graça já me tinha dito por mail), mas não fazia ideia que ainda ia receber uma flor para colocar no casaco, um porta-moedas e duas bolsas para o telemóvel!! Fiquei muito sensibilizada com tanto mimo!!

I went yesterday to Amsterdam to buy some white tulips for my relatives and friends in Portugal ;-)
The day was glorious! Sunshine, a wonderful blue sky... :-) Great to a nice walk with a special friend ;-)

Where did we go? What have we seen when we were walking on the streets?

De Krijtberg

Opened in 1883, is a Roman Catholic church, located at the Singel, dedicated to St Francis Xavier.

De Waag (weigh house)

The Amsterdam Waag (1488) is a remnant of the former city walls in Amsterdam. Originally, it was one of the city gates, the Sint Anthoniespoort.
The building carries the oldest plaque in Amsterdam, which reads On 28 April 1488 the first stone of this gate was laid.

De Oude Kerk

The Oude Kerk ("old church") is Amsterdam’s oldest parish church, consecrated in 1306 by the bishop of Utrecht.
It stands in De Wallen, now Amsterdam's main red-light district.

She took the train from Eindhoven to Amsterdam, where we met, so she could visit the city ;-)
It was an important moment for us ;-) We met each other after two blogging years ;-)
We had only a few hours because she needed to be in Tilburg about 7 o'clock.

Well, we decided to walk and go in direction of the Amsterdams Historisch Museum where we had our lunch...

After relaxing a bit and have an unexpecting meeting with someone I had lunch two days before ;-), we went to the Begijnhof...

...where we could appreciate the Het Houten Huis, the oldest house in Amsterdam (around 1420) and one of the only two wooden-front houses in the city.

We stayed there to appreciate this magnificent piece of art ;-) If you come to Amsterdam, visit this church. I'm sure you will like it very much!

Our "tour" was almost at the end...

After some "souvenirs" for her dear ones and a new pair of shoes, we were ready to return to Centraal Station: she went to Tilburg and I to Almere.
