Historisch Festival Almere II

Historisch Festival Almere
Almere Haven
2-4 June 2011

On the first day of the Festival (Ascension Day), I saw this steamboat leaving from the harbour and I wished to be on it too...

So, I promised to myself to come back Saturday only for the stoomrondvaart...
The price? It was € 7 per person. Very well deserved! We enjoyed very much!

We were among the first ones to arrive. That's why I could take these photos.

Coming back to the harbour, we saw these beautiful traditional boats which reminded me of the BotterFestival in Almere Haven that usually happens in September.

In the video below, you can also enjoy a ride! Have fun!!! :-)

The steam engines were so well cared. I like so much how Netherlands take good care of its historian heritage!

This steam car is from 1913. My maternal grandparents were born in this year ;-)

Look how interesting this is: a washing steam engine machine from 1930!

Nearby the beach, there was a war camp...

After our walk, it was time for a drink. We tasted a beer from Brouwerij Het Koelship. Heel lekker!!!Delicious!! We sat down nearby a friendly Dutch couple! :-) They told us about their travels in Europe with their Citroen 2 CV. ;-) Fantastic!
