After the play, we met Sofia in the backstage door. She is a very friendly and nice woman! :-)
More portuguese were there to talk with her :-)

Presepio in DutchNews.nl

Do you know DutchNews.nl? It's a very important online newspaper where you can find Dutch news in English.

They have a very useful page, "Local Information for Expats", about the services and local blogs of the main Dutch cities.

I'm very glad to share with you that Presepio is now in the Almere's Local Information Page.

Dutchnews.nl has also an Expat Directory, Expat Blogs and Jobs pages, which can be very helpful. Take a look at that!

Lost In Translation

Lost in Translation (2003)

"Charlotte: I just don't know what I'm supposed to be.
Bob: You'll figure that out. The more you know who you are, and what you want, the less you let things upset you. "

True, Bob, true...

I will be away for a while. I will be 40 very soon ;-) Stay well! :-)

Almere-Stad, 13.11.2010
Sinterklaas optocht (parade/cortejo)

Sinterklaas has arrived today to Almere-Stad at 15.00 pm. We were there to watch the parade. :-)
It is one of my favorite days in the Netherlands!

This Zwarte Piet carries the book where it is written if the children had a good behaviour during this year or not...:-)

From Sinterklaas 2010

If their behaviour was good, they will receive their presents on the next 5th of December evening (Pakjesavond).

This year we didn't go to the intocht (the arrival/ a chegada) in Almere Haven because we had seen it two years ago, remember?

From Sinterklaas 2010

In the video below, you can listen to Sinterklaas songs. Enjoy it! :-)
